Following the global launch in Hong Kong during two "Vintage Hong-Kong" themed evenings on November 13 and 14, 2019 at the Kerry Hotel, 240 aficionados had the opportunity to discover this new cigar specially created for the Year of the Rat.

It is the first cigar specially created by Habanos SA to celebrate the Chinese New Year. It uses the "Maravillas No. 3" format with a 55 ring gauge and a length of 155 mm, which was first used for the 2012 limited edition Montecristo 520.

The tobaccos used for the Romeo Y Julieta Maravillas 8 were selected from the world's finest tobacco-growing region, the Vuelta Abajo in Cuba, tobaccos that were then hand-rolled by the best Cuban torcedors.

As "8" is the favorite number in Chinese society, because of its connection with wealth and luck, it only makes sense to find 8 cigars inside each box.
