Indian Summer: Cuban Cigars and a Smoked Cocktail
An evening under the sign of Indian Summer
On Thursday, September 25, 2025, HABANO & ALMA welcomed around thirty guests in the heart of Bonmont Golf, to extend summer for an evening with the scents of embers.
The theme – Indian Summer – promised warmth and soft light, but it was another kind of warmth, more human and more precious, that ultimately warmed the atmosphere: the warmth of sharing and conviviality.
Right from the welcome, a welcome drink awaited the guests, warmly dressed to fend off the already autumnal breeze. The Partagás Línea Maestra Rito opened the tasting: a cigar with a commanding presence, powerful notes, spicy, almost woody — a perfect reflection of this somewhat rebellious late summer.
As the cocktail dinner unfolded, the crackling embers and aromas of grilled fare took center stage. The focal point of this interlude between two cigars, the barbecue brought guests together around a hot dish, to the rhythm of Cuban melodies.
Once night had fallen, it was time to enter a more intimate world: that of the H.Upmann Magnum Finite Limited Edition 2024 cigar, paired with a tasting of exceptional whiskies.
Mr. Alexandre Peyraud guided palates through a selection of whiskies from the Bellevoye brand, highlighting in turn the subtle character of each cuvée, possible aromatic pairings, and the craftsmanship behind them.
The whisky, like the cigar, was savored to the rhythm of the conversations. The cool evening air did nothing to diminish the warmth of the moment. There was something timeless about that evening: a genuine pleasure in being together, in taking the time.
A big thank-you to everyone who helped make this evening something truly special. Here’s hoping that next year, Indian Summer will grant us a little more mercy... but, truth be told, even without the sun, the pleasure of sharing a Cuban cigar together was very much there.
